This is nice. Love is actully different from infatuation. Though people say there is love at first sight but I think it is mere infatuation.
There is no doubt in my mind that love at first sight exists. The beauty of love is that when one loves without reservation, "unconditionally", falling in love is one of the most fulfilling experiences we can have. Unfortunately, as with so many things, we tend to over-analyze these feelings out of fear, until we find fault with what we feel and it starts to turn into something less than wonderful.. I have often maintained that the logical order of life would be to be born old and grow younger each day so that we could enjoy our lifes lessons more fully.

Appreciate you reading and commenting Philipo. Yes, most have detached the physical from the spiritual and/or their emotions. Once we no longer act as a synergistic whole, I believe our physical desires become our primary concern - then it is indeed mere infatuation. Detached we aren't concerned with how our actions may affect others either - we don't consider or understand that the object of our pursuit may get hurt. This seems all too prevalent these days...
It sounds like the person in the poem is having serious doubts..... better to check feelings out before any commitent.....
It is not kind to hurt other people but being true to oneself is also extremely important also.... in fact no one is going to guard our emotions so better to protect ourselves

JJ you hit the nail on the head Darlin'! Trusting ourselves seems to be a state of being we lose for many years of our lives. As kids we feel everything before the words make sense. In learning those words, the contradictions diminish trust. Harriet Lerner has written volumes explaining the whys i.e. we ask our mom what's wrong, feeling her tension or anger and, thinking we are too little to explain it to, she lies, saying "nothing!" Which do we trust then? What we feel, or what we hear? What we see or what we know? The analyzations start - confusion reigns. We go through life hearing the "nothings" from others and in our state of confusion, the most potentially awesome and fulfilling experiences are no longer wonderful.
Profound JJ! I shared one of my favorite lines in a forum last night that Patrick Swayze said in Point Break: "Fear will cause hesitation, and in that moment of hesitation, all our fears will come true."
Ever feel as though you're just a pawn in someone else's play? I've had moments in my life where something came out of my mouth and I wondered where the heck it came from. I watch and realize the other person was in that moment of hesitation. Fear is a choice and usually the first one when trust is gone...

The wisest of the wise seem to be checking in - thank you so much Brenda! Your advice is indeed deep and meaningful. Being true to oneself and recognizing a soul connection, do we protect ourselves by walking away if the other has disconnected or remains in a state of confusion? Or do we pursue the truth we feel attempting to help that person let go of doubt and fear?

Soul mates...I once scoffed at such a thing, but I'm half convinced it's possible.
So few words, so much meaning! The final chapter in my soon to be published book...It is not about u and me, it is about us and we. I always appreciate what and how you share.
Then to be truly One oscillationatend, we will soar to help the other side understand the words are irrelevant and most often misconstrued. The half that knows connects deeply, offering few words, only trust in what is.

For some reason I've had several Taurus attractions in this life.Are we soulmates or is it just infatuation? I don't know but I tend to think it's a little of both.It may just be karma working it's way into my life.I know I'm attracted to them for both physical as well as spiritual reasons ,yet I couldn't tell you it's just one or the other.
If you feel it's a little of both someonewhoknows, it undoubtedly is. Can't say I've differentiated by astrological signs but the heart knows what the heart knows, as others have confirmed.

Thanks for visiting and commenting bc. I think you guys and your physical priorities are what keep the species going - that can be infatuation. We as women, are moved by our depth of feelings. Perhaps when we join, we each gain the benefit of the other and it becomes "true". In the east they say that "man is the head of the house, but woman the neck that turns him". There is a grander plan than the physical infatuation but if a man doesn't want to recognize the power of intuition, feeling and guidance - more often than not they are stuck with merely the guidance of a tiny little head :)

Beautiful. When our hearts are truly open, we connect on a soul level, we are always together. This doesnt leave us, we leave it by our duality. Love isnt desire. love just is.
