All I Want for Christmas Are Answers

MONTH OF QUESTIONS: December 12th THROUGH30 th
We give, we question, we wonder why
Is there a way for unity without a goodbye?
People come onto our path for a reason
The hope is there, that it’s for longer than a season.
Yet at a time when the world wants to celebrate
We still look outside ourselves to decide our fate
What’s returned in a relationship not satisfying our needs
Did it change, growing apart, or are they continuing unanswered pleas?
Our purpose in this life is to balance out karma
The questions plague us as we search our dharma
Without owning and understanding our baggage
Our authentic selves lost, living a mere facade or mirage.
Intuitively we feel and know our truth
Is it ego that prevails, or trying to fix our youth?
We often settle for less than what we deserve
Following our sole/soul path, do we have the nerve?
Too seldom realized it’s not about them or what we see in the mirror
We either hold back or fear our demise, wishing we could see clearer
Yet the answer is always within
Everything a gift, for us to begin…

...well, it isn't the Christmas season, however your brilliant poem, sends a beautiful message for all seasons. I have never enjoyed reading a profile as much as I did while reading yours. It felt as though you were talking directly to me. You are one talented, gifted lady and what a treasure to discover. I've a feeling you will be seeing alot of me. Oh, I too lived in Hawaii - 9 years. Stay close by - Aloha and Mahalo...vocalcoach :)
Excellent poetry, my dear. So good to see you display your creative gifts. Well done! :-)
Hi SEM Pro,
What a lovely poem! I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am currently experiencing a 6 day power outage here in NJ, and had to come to my local library as I'm experiencing computer withdrawal. I had a really upsetting phone call from my bipolar brother before the outage, and wrote a poem because I had to put those feelings somewhere. I will fix it up when my computer at home is up again. I met someone in my new Metaphysics class who also suggested Caroline Myss, I got one of her books. It's not the one you mentioned on True Love Transcends Time, and I can't think of the title now. I can't read in the dark, so if this lasts another day I'll be sitting there with a flashlight.
